It has been almost two years since my last trip to Manchester, where most of my KmS friends are. Not much have changed for the city itself but my friends, seems like I've lost track upon them. So many changes which keeps on changing, so many new situations for me to adapt, and being a student in London, I simply find everything to be amusing and NEW. Anyway, there is always a first time for everything. After four weeks of busy academic project on flowsheeting (designing an acrylic acid plant which actually works), on a friday morning, I received an instant message through yahoo massager. The message was simple but yet struck deep into my thoughts ; 'datang la manchester, labu sakit..lagipun kau tak jumpe pun junaidi lagi' Right after that, five minutes after I've received the message, I opened nationalexpress.co.uk website and bought a return ticket to Manchester on 5.30 p.m. After handing in our academic project at 4.00pm, I rushed back home..Not taking the advise that I shouldn't eat the so-called 2-minutes meggi noodles, I didn't make it on time for my bus for about 2 minutes. How ironic was my day, a meggi noodles for my lunch+dinner which costs me a bus ticket at the price of 14 pounds..But that did not stop me to continue my journey, so I bought a new ticket on the spot and to Manchester I will go! The four and a half hours trip were not that comforting since the bus was full and I wasn't that sleepy but I managed to arrived safely. Once I arrived, I went straight to my friend's house near Rashoume road. There is where Labu, a friend of mine who is now sick suspected to be infected with TB(tuberculosis) in his stomach. He lives with three other housemates who all my friends back in KmS; Musa, adlan and paley. I took a peak into Labu's room and I found him to be very skinny, pale and sleeping quietly. I was told not to disturb labu since he has already been asleep. In the living room, there were Mila and Liza who cooked Laksa which Was pretty delicious.I couldn't remember when was the last time I had laksa in my life!. after a long chat to catch up one many many things with the others, I went to bed and looking forward for a new start tomorrow. The dawn breaks as early as 12 am..hehe...I slept quite long, maybe due to tiredness after the long chats with friends till 4 a.m. When I woke up and walked down the stairs slowly heading to the living room, a saw Labu was in the living room, sitting alone at the couch watching musa's 30'inch samsung plasma tv without even having his eyes on the screens. So, I approached him slowly and start talking to him, asking him whether he was fine and when he started to tell his story and the pain he was having, I started to cry deep inside me but tried not to show as I know this will only make him sad. Seeing a friend whom you once last recall to be healthy and cheerful was truly a tough moment. Anyway, he will be fine soon, healthy and cheerful again after the virus/bacteria leaves his body for sure! let us pray for that to be as soon as possible! AFter having my bath, I followed my friends to the 'Manchester Games', I met a lot my friends from all over UK mostly at the football pitch.
The Photographers
That evening after the Manchester Games, the five of us; Adlan, Kay, Am, Liza and me went to Junaidi's house to see his BABY! Yeah, A BABY..those small little creatures who cries in the middle of the night, in the middle of a movie in the cinema, and in the bus two seats away from me when I was heading here! Anyway, when I saw his baby, this weird feeling come rushing into me...'Shit, my friend whom I know in KmS has a Baby?? Awww...She is so cute and adorable' The baby girl was named Ainul Jannah(Hopefully the spellings are correct) which means 'The eye of heaven'. Seeing a small baby a week old in the hands of his father was truly a spectacular moment, and to see her close and to hear her breath was simply comforting..She stares at me as if she knows me but scientific research shows that babies don't really see anything until they are 2 weeks old. Anyway, I felt myself being old right there and then...And being old means that I have to face many more responsibilities soon and simply have to grow older! Later that night, I met Shahrin Abu Bakar, my old KmS buddy who eventually have been married for a year now..And the next morning I met Azam who is married and Fairus who is now currently engaged! Hey, Manchester friends...you guys are in your fifth gears!! slow down, I can't catch up!!!! :P
