This is London

Today is Friday and I just got back from Picadilly Circus. There were some problems regarding on my flight tickets which had something to do with the postage and that was the reason for me to actually take a break from my revision. While I was walking along in Regent's Street, I realized that there are a lot of special trends or attributes of London which I would like to share and tell.Although I am aware of it long time ago, I believe I have never wrote anything about it before.

First and foremost, London is now not an English City(From my ear's perspective). The amount of English Language that you hear is much more lesser than you can actually expect. Just imagine, I was in a bus ride and the types of languages that I heard can be considered 'Alienish' to me. Perhaps what I heard are some Spanish,Chinese, Italian, or even Japanese. When I came down from the bus, a women approached me and asked me in some Tagalog(Philipino language) language. I said I didn't understand her but she keeps on saying 'Philipino Embassy' or something. Hence, with great sense of responsibility I just pointed the road ahead and said, 'walk near'. Later, I was finally in the company's office which sold me the flight ticket to Malaysia. Owh, just to let you know that the company is called Emarald Travel, and if I am not mistaken they are actually a Malaysian owned company. The best part is that they are the ones who offered the lowest available flight rate at this moment. When I stepped into the office, eventually, I can hear all sorts of languages as the company handles various airlines ticketing such as Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Thai Airways and a few Arab Airlines. Anyway, the women who took care of my flight ticket was also a Malaysian and hence we chatted in Bahasa Melayu Language. Overall, what I'm saying is that London is simply a city with a very multiracial community and you can actually find people from all over the world here.

Secondly, It is not hard to find 'halal food' in these streets of London. People back home in Malaysia once said to me, you would not eat rice as much that you are having back home. This kind of statement is truely wrong bacause I've been having rice for both lunch and dinner almost everyday. Halal foods such as kebabs and cheap southern fried chicken are everywhere in London, you would never die due to starvation here in London thats if you're a Muslim for sure. Talking about rendang, kerutuk, sambal belacan, etc, we can havs
e everything here in Mawar Restaurant( Currently closed due to refurbishment which went wrong along the way), Nahar and Satay House. So, summarising for this part is that food is not a problem in London. Although at the moment I am quite pissed with Snickers,Mars, Malteser who has just changed one of their ingredients from vegetable sources to some animal source making it non halal.

Owh..I really have a lot to tell but since this is now getting too long. I would like to stop at this particular point. I would definitely add up more things regarding on the same topic in the future. Thanks for reading anyway.

One Day

Trutt..Trutttt..Truuttt.. With great anger I threw my phone down under my bed. Unfortunately the sound of the alarm still does not stop. It took me great courage and effort to finally get off my bed and with a towel wrapping my lower body i stroll to the bathroom. Wow, I definitely enjoyed having my shower, warm shower with the whole bathroom rich in evaporated water. Before even having my breakfast, I turned on my laptop to check on my 'Mastery' result. Eventually, for a Chemical Engineering student in Imperial College, you need to pass your mastery exams before you are able to proceed to the next year. The mastery examination is consist of four main core subjects such as reaction engineering, thermodynamics, heat transfer and separation processes. With unexpected luck, i actually passed it. So I was happy, I ate my breakfast which was a bagel with smoked salmon in thousand island sauce and a dash of Tabasco sauce. That goes with a glass of milk for sure. Finally, I was ready to go to the college with great determination to stay in the library and study what ever possible at this crucial moment before my examination starts in 2 weeks time. Suddenly, right after i opened my front door of my apartment, drops of rain started to fall, slowly which later turned horribly. Just like that, all my spirit and motivation were washed away down the drain. I threw my bag back on my bed, stripped my clothes off and jumped back on my bed and pulled my duvet, covering my body. I said to myself deeply that I will study right after the rain stops. Now it is almost 7 pm in the evening and the rain is still showering down and I am still under my duvet. What a Day...

Gravity Pulls

I was reading the Online Malaysian Newspaper recently and the continuous story of the growth of my country's economics strength intrigues me. From what I have read at this moment, the KLCI(Kuala Lumpur Composite Index) is now being at her highest level which is about 1,355 points. This is surely a good indication that our country's economic strength have finally stabilized and the people of Malaysia are now living happily. Besides that, Government servants are now demanding an increase towards their pay and I have no doubt that their income should be increased in order to create a positive competition between the public sector and the the private sector. In the meanwhile, the prices of goods back home were also being increased significantly. A simple example which I can take is the price of a packet of processed palm oil which is currently being set at a maximum price of 2.50 ringgit. If I am not mistaken, a year ago, the price of the same item was at the range of 1.80 to 2.00 ringgit. Therefore, the increase of the the particular item is now at about 25% from its previous price a year ago. What I am trying to say here, the overall movement of the economics strength of my fellow Malaysian is zero. If you increase the pay of workers and at the same time you increase the prices of goods, then you actually travelling with a constant pace. No practical improvement have been done and this alone worries me..

Our stock market is highly dependant on the global world market and I can say that the global world economic trend nowadays is moving upwards, increasing. Eventually, what ever things which are high will soon fall down, sooner or later. History is one of the good examples which we can take to learn this kind of situation and we can actually prevent it from happening in the future. The higher you climb, the worst you will fall is surely something I would pray not to happen to my country. The problem is that IF it does happen, a sudden sharp drop in our economic market will definitely give the worst effect to the people in Malaysia. I just hope that people are aware of this possible kind of situation and they would save money, do not overspent and etc. , as if there is no tomorrow.

When Problem Arise

I am counting the days which will make me a year older. On 24th July 07, it would be my 22nd birthday. When you get older, eventually you will be facing with tougher problems in life. Problems which you didn't want to solve or didn't even expect to be facing with. Some problems may go away just like that and some are buried unsolved. Problems come in small packages and sometimes in large huge bundle these days. Anyway, these are some of my ways in facing or handling my own problems.

1-Just let the problem dissolve within my cold heart
2-Solve the problem with great passion and wise decision
3-Hide under the duvet and close the curtain
4-Ask opinions from others and just follow those opinions
5-Creating bigger problems which would out weight the previous problem

I like number 5 the most but normally they would turn me to Death.

The main question which I would like to raise is Why on Earth would the quotes stuck in your mind? The funny part is that, most of the quotes that people like can actually be seen in their msn massenger or yahoo massenger status..hehe..No offence..Here are some quotes, I recently noticed which were used in my friends msn/yahoo massenger status.

They seperate you

Examination or tests are things which are currently worrying me at the moment. Although I know that I do not know what I am supposed to know, I just simply refuse to give a damn. I know my mathematics skill are at the lowest minima at the moment and my understanding towards other subjects are just like sips of water in the sea. I choose to abandoned everything at the moment, thinking, wasting time, dreaming, in my very own ways. Movitivation, a simple powerful word is what I am looking for, at this crucial time. I remember a few years back, the letter in pink which turned my life around, and I hope such letters to come again very soon.....
